Marbella Wedding Photographer (Spain) - Naomi Maya

Boutique Wedding Photographer in Marbella

All weddings, big or small, deserve amazing photography and my goal is to make it available to everyone. Some photographers don't offer half-day packages, or accept smaller shoots during high-season because they could charge more for a full day, but I do. I love shooting small weddings because it reminds me of my own destination wedding, with just our closest friends and family.

All my packages are flexible, nothing is set in stone. Contact me and we'll talk about your day!

Wedding FAQ

  • What is your style of shooting during a wedding?

I tend to disappear into the background and capture the day as it happens, without interference from me. When it comes time for the couple portraits and family group photos, I will step out of that role and help people feel comfortable in front the camera and show them how to pose. Once those shots are over, I go back into candid mode. With this approach, you get the best of both worlds; the traditional formal shots, and the more modern looking "documentary" style images.

  • I'm on a small budget, can you help me?

    Absolutely!

I'm more than happy to accomodate weddings of all sizes and budgets. In fact, that's what I do most often. I'll come out for whatever amount of time you need and we'll get some great shots!

I'm able to be flexible because I work from home, and have no studio overhead costs. Also, I focus on the quality of the images rather than the quantity. So you can rest assured that you won't be cutting any corners with regards to amazing wedding photos if you hire me for just a couple of hours.

  • Can you really get great photos in just a few hours?

Absolutely! A beautiful photo can be captured in 1/250th of a second! Plenty of beautiful photos will be provided even with my smallest 2-hour package. Check out this wedding for example. All these shots were taken in 3 hours. Another example, this couple hired me for their small wedding at a private villa, and all shots were captured in under 2 hours.

  • How much time should I allow for my group photos?

In an ideal world you'd have 15-20 minutes for your family and group photos and another 30 minutes for your bridal portraits and wedding party photos. (Even more awesome if you can arrange them just before sunset!)

  • Can I get the digital images?

Yes! All high resolution images will be provided via digital download, fully color corrected and ready for print and web use.

  • Do you do engagement sessions?

That depends. Since many of the weddings I photograph are destination wedings, it doesn't always work out to do enagement photos since I may not be able to meet you before the day of the wedding. Get in touch and let's see if the timing works out though! You never know!

  • Do you do destination weddings?

Yes, most of my couples don't live in Spain. I can help out with some of the logistics if need be as I've been here for about 6 years now. I am currently in San Pedro de Alcantara. This is very near Marbella, Puerto Banus, La Cala, Mijas and Estepona in Southern Spain. If you are getting married elsewhere, send me a quick email with the location and date and we'll see if it works out! I also usually travel to Canada for the summertime, so I might be there on your date.

  • Can I make my own prints?

Yes, you certainly can, but I highly recommend that any important enlargements be ordered from us for two reasons. 1) I cannot guarantee the print life or archival quality of any printed images that are not supplied by us. 2) The files supplied (although technically perfect) will not have been processed or cropped and re-sized for printing on any specific printing device. All prints ordered from me are specifically formatted made by a professional lab so that they turn out exactly as they should. When you meet with me for the first time, I will show you samples of various prints from different places so you can see the difference. You can see some print examples on this blog post.

  • How many images will I get?

I take an unlimited number of images and then sort and edit them to provide you with only the best ones. Generally you will get 50-70 delivered final images per hour of candid style shooting. For formal or portrait sessions this number is less as there is time spent on posing. Please see my blog post about final images if you're interested in learning how I process photos!
